Peterborough is a city that has so much to offer families. It’s a great city with so much culture, activity and green spaces. We love Peterborough. But as a storage unit based in Peterborough, perhaps we would say that!

So, to back up our claim that Peterborough really is a great city, we have put together some spring activities around Peterborough that you and your family can get involved in this spring.

Railworld

Railworld is a wildlife haven in Peterborough. There are toy trains, large trains and moving model trains surrounding by a lovely wildlife haven which will be loved by all ages. Each spring Railworld run a spring event with various activities such as face painting, a tombola, treasure hunt and more. The great thing about this spring activity in Peterborough is that the money goes back into buying more trains and improving the wildlife haven for everyone.

Nene Park & Ferry Meadows

When the weather is dry, this is a popular place for families. There will be various activities taking place at the Discovery Den throughout the spring holidays. You’ll also find lots of great trails that the children will enjoy following across Ferry Meadows and Nene Park. There are 2 cafes where you can purchase food and drink, and a few ice-cream vans around the green spaces. You can also take your own picnic or cook your food on one of the BBQs available for use.

Theatres

We are incredibly lucky to have not one, not two but three theatres in Peterborough. These include the Key Theatre, The Cresset and The New Theatre on Broadway. It is well worth checking out the great shows and films they have available for the whole family to enjoy this spring. These showings are often very popular and do book up quickly, so make sure you book in advance. The Showcase cinema also has some great family films and deals available during the spring months.

The Lido

Peterborough is lucky enough to have an outdoor heated pool, which is very popular during the Easter holidays. On the sunnier days the pool can be extremely busy. However, dure to the pool being heated, it really can be enjoyed on the cooler days. It’s worth noting it is open until 6pm in the evening and they also offer early morning swims, if you’d prefer a quieter session in the pool.

These are just some of the great activities you can get involved in near our storage unit in Peterborough. We also have a selection of escape rooms, an ice-skating rink, bounce nation, axe throwing, indoor golf and the museum to enjoy.
